About The Event

Providers are reviewing services and planning ahead. Participants and families are asking what the changes could mean for their supports. The shared questions are: what’s changing, when, and what could it mean in practice?

The NDIS is entering a period of wide-ranging change across funding, planning, assessment and the way supports are organised and delivered. Some changes are already underway; others have been legislated, announced or flagged but are yet to fully take effect. Understanding how they may interact is part of the challenge.

Across Support Coordination, Community Participation, Allied Health, Plan Management, SIL and Home & Living, organisations are reviewing what changes to funding, pricing, regulation and service models could mean for their services and the people they support.

Some organisations have already announced withdrawals from particular services, while others are considering restructuring. These developments raise important questions about support quality, participant choice, continuity and access to supports, alongside provider sustainability.

What to expect:

  • Panel discussion
  • Sector conversation
  • Networking opportunities
  • Complimentary parking
  • Fully accessible venue

October’s BRACE FOR IMPACT panel will explore key announcements, the timelines available so far and potential implications – helping distinguish what is known from what remains uncertain.

The conversation doesn’t end with the panel. Building Bridges Network events, and the relationships they foster, give providers and others across the sector opportunities to keep sharing experiences, perspectives and ideas.

Following on in November, our FROM IMPACT TO ACTION event will explore practical strategies for providers while keeping participant choice, continuity and outcomes at the centre.

Be there. Be informed. Be part of the conversation.

We hope to see you on Thursday 29 October.

Our Facilitator

Jonathan Salgo has worked across the disability and care sector for more than 10 years, spanning policy, business and frontline support work.

He is the founder of Found, a workforce platform that helps disability and aged care providers source, screen and connect with quality support workers they can hire directly.

Jonathan is a well-respected voice in the sector and will bring the breadth of perspective needed to facilitate a discussion of this scale and importance.

Our Panelists

Amanda Winslade from Plan Partners – one of Australia’s largest Plan Managers – will help unpack the funding changes already in place, as well as the more recent planning and funding announcements.

Amanda also brings the benefit of real-time feedback on how these changes are being experienced and interpreted by participants and providers in practice, right now.

Sarah Collison is an Occupational Therapist, educator and advocate with a passion for delivering impactful, person-driven services within the NDIS. As the founder of Verve OT and Verve OT Learning, Sarah works at the intersection of clinical practice, professional development and systems change, supporting both participants and the OTs who serve them.

Laura Holdaway founded My Recovery 101, an NDIS support services business focused on mental health, wellbeing and recovery, specialising in Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and tailored support services.

Laura will bring a practical perspective to the panel, contributing to the broader discussion about how NDIS changes may affect service delivery, participant experience and provider planning, including the proposed changes to Support Coordination.

Kortado helps NDIS providers do more with less.

Kortado’s software gives directors a whole-of-organisation view of governance, risk and compliance — day to day, not just at audit. It monitors every client and team record (from CRM, HRIS, LMS and QMS) against the Practice Standards continuously, matches data across systems and surfaces patterns early.

Kortado’s impact: your team moves from reacting to audits to managing governance, risk and compliance proactively.

Built by the founder of Auscare Support, a registered provider with 1,300+ clients, where compliance checks took 1–3 hours per client. Kortado now covers all clients in 8–10 hours and runs every day, not once a cycle.
